Born
in Ireland
Made with love
Worn with passion
& Still my favourite
At last, Ireland has its own dynamic, creative and trendsetting casual
line of clothing. The flagship store opened on 15th March at Number 1
Dawson Street, Dublin in the historic Morrison’s Hotel Building,
where Charles Parnell stayed before and after his arrest.
The design duo of Emma Wilson and Paula Hanley explain the concept behind
the label. “Our brief was Ireland, to create a unique range of relaxed,
casualwear with a strong emphasis on comfort and natural fibers.
We designed “Farrell & Brown” to offer essential layering
with a sexy undertone. It is eclectically put together with a previously
worn and loved feeling. Clothing that has been pre-distressed and destroyed.
It’s like that favourite pair of jeans, loved and worn to death,
but you can never bring yourself to throw them away. For us the clothing
is soaked in memories and we want to pass that feeling on to our customers".
This new young label stems from its mother company “Blarney
Woollen Mills” which was established in 1823. Using our history
of great knitwear design, we have reinterpreted the "Aran sweater"
one of Ireland's greatest icons, drawing inspiration from all its beautiful
stitches but adding softness, luxury and innovation. |
“Farrell
and Brown” is a range of Irish clothing, relaxed and casual for
guys and girls from 18 to a cool 40. It is for the individual, looking
for the unique. They are not part of the flock - they are the subtle black
sheep or even the leader of the flock!.
The new “Farrell and Brown” store at 1
Dawson Street, Dublin, is a sultry space oozing energy and excitement
that is sure to find favour whether you are from Dublin, Denmark or Denver.
It is a must-do experience.
Our Dawson Street store is open seven days a week:
Monday to Saturday 10am to 7pm and Sunday 12 noon to 6pm.

About our Logo
Yes - I am an Irish Wolfhound.
We chose this logo because it is historically intertwined with Irish heritage
& culture and is symbolic of what Farrell & Brown stands for.
Irish Wolfhounds are
famed for their astonishing size, speed, intelligence and loyalty, and because of this they were a favourite of Cuchulain. The breed has
mellowed over time and are often referred to as gentle giants.
The historic motto of the breed is "Gentle when stroked. Fierce
when provoked."
